Microsoft to keep Vista crappy in order to make Windows 7 look better
Have you noticed the lack of updates that make Vista perform better? I sure have seen more on XP. Sure, there are security updates, but so little performance updates. Sit back and think about it. Since Vista is so bad and you cant buy a computer without it (Yeah, I know, there are ways to still get XP), wont it boost Windows 7 reputation when it comes out?
Follow up:
Microsoft is very well aware of the fact that people are desperately waiting for Windows 7. But after Vista set a bad record, they want to make sure that its not the impression on Windows 7. How to do this? Very simple, keep Vista crappy as it is.
By the time Windows 7 swings around, people are going to have an impression of Windows based on Vista and are going to want something better. If Microsoft would make Vista perform better, less people are going to consider upgrading to Windows 7.
Instead of making Vista better, the only thing Microsoft is trying to do with Vista is get more people to adopt it. All development is being put into Windows 7 to make sure that it doesn't take as long to make as Vista.
If I were to recommend to you if you should switch to Vista, I would say forget it. XP is so developed and updated that it has become a stable and working operating system. The best thing to do, is just wait for Windows 7. If Windows 7 turns out to be good, then consider switching.
